Because the
wire rope of mobile crane is prone to entanglement (commonly known as twisting) during use, if it is not eliminated in time, it will accelerate the wear of the wire rope and affect the service life of the wire rope. When the wire ropes are entangled together, the following steps can be carried out according to different magnifications to remove the wire rope twisting operation:
1) Confirm the winding status of the wire rope and make a record (including the winding direction of the wire rope, the magnification and the number of winding turns).
2) Put the hook on the ground (if the hook cannot be lowered, lower the boom).
3) Remove the rope sleeve from the hook (or boom), turn it n times the number of twisting turns along the twisting direction of the wire rope (determined by step 1), and then fix the rope end on the hook (or hanging Arm) on. Note that one rotation must not exceed five revolutions (including five revolutions).
4) Extend the boom fully and raise it to the maximum elevation angle, and repeat the hook lifting and lowering operations several times.
5) Repeat the above steps until the winding phenomenon disappears.
6) If the entanglement cannot be eliminated after the above measures are adopted, the steel wire rope should be replaced with a new one.
